Why We Recommend Lenovo vs HP for Your Computing Devices

Book a discovery call

As an IT contractor with over 15 years of experience, I have come across a multitude of computing devices from various brands. Amongst these, I have seen a substantial amount of HP devices requiring repairs, sometimes even arriving dead on arrival (DOA). This recurring trend has led us to be more inclined towards recommending Lenovo over HP for our clients. In this blog post, I will explore some of the reasons behind our preference and why we believe Lenovo is a more reliable choice.

The primary concern for any computing device is its reliability. Over the years, we have noticed a consistent pattern where HP devices tend to experience more issues and require repairs more frequently compared to Lenovo. This means that clients using HP often face disruptions, additional costs, and wasted time due to technical difficulties. By recommending Lenovo, we aim to provide our clients with a more reliable computing experience.

Build Quality:

One of the key factors influencing reliability is the build quality of a device. In our experience, Lenovo products generally exhibit better build quality with robust and durable components. HP, on the other hand, has been found to have more instances of hardware failures and design flaws. While it’s important to remember that no brand isperfect, Lenovo tends to have a better track record for longevity and fewer hardware issues in our experience.

Price vs Value:

While Lenovo devices may be slightly higher priced compared to HP, we strongly believe that the extra investment is worth it. The reliability, build quality, and customer support provided by Lenovo justify the slightly higher cost.

As an IT contractor, it is our duty to recommend the best and most reliable computing devices to our clients. Based on our extensive experience, we highly recommend Lenovo over HP for a more reliable computing experience which is why Lenovo is our chosen hardware partner for our clients.

Below are a few examples of hardware repairs we have undertaken this year on Hp devices.
