The £95 fixed fee is ideal for resolving specific, predictable issues—the kind of jobs where the time and scope are clear from the outset. It’s built for efficiency, transparency, and peace of mind.

Quick Fix Rate

£59 - For work that takes 30 mins or less to resolve either onsite or remote

Our Quick Fix rate covers any job that takes 30 minutes or less to resolve. It’s designed to give you fast, affordable support without paying the full General Computer & Tech Support fee for shorter visits.

 Standard Repair Rate – £95.00

If the job takes over 30 minutes, it automatically moves to our fixed fee service of £95.00. At this point, you’re not charged by the minute—just one clear, flat rate for the full resolution.

This structure ensures fairness and transparency, whether it’s a quick tweak or a more involved fix.

Most repairs are fixed on the first visit — and if it can’t be, you’ll know exactly why and what’s next before we leave.

New Computer Setups

£109 Fixed Fee (Per Computer ) -Transfer Data From Old To New & Configure

What does your Computer Setup Service include?

We handle the essentials to get your new computer up and running smoothly:

  • File Transfer from standard folders like Documents, Desktop, Pictures, Music, Videos, and Favourites.
  • Microsoft Office Installation using your existing license—or we’ll advise on purchasing a new one.
  • Email Account Setup—just have your login details ready.
  • Printer Setup if the printer is compatible with your new system.

Do you transfer all my programs too?

No. Most applications—including those like  Sage Accounts, QuickBooks, CAD software, and games—can’t simply be copied over.
They need to be reinstalled using original setup files and license keys. – While we’re happy to install commonly used applications such as Zoom, antivirus software, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Google Drive for example, the  responsibility for reinstalling specialist or licensed software remains with the client.

Think of it like moving house: you bring the furniture (your files), but reconnect the services (your apps)


What about specialist software and  accompanying data?

We’ll transfer your standard personal files (like documents, photos, and music), but anything linked to specialist software—such as accounts packages or industry-specific tools—will need extra attention.

For example, if you use Sage Accounts, your files aren’t stored like regular documents. The data lives inside the software, so it must bemanually exported from your old machine and then restored once the program is reinstalled on the new one.

You’re responsible for backing up and restoring this type of data, as well as reinstalling the software itself.

This is just one example—many applications work this way. Accounting tools, databases, EPOS systems, CAD software, and more often store their data in similar behind-the-scenes locations.


What are your data transfer terms?

As outlined in our Terms & Conditions:

“Files are transferred to standard system directories (e.g., Documents, Desktop, Pictures). The Service Provider will exercise care during data migration but does not organize or recreate user-specific file structures unless contracted to do so.”

You’re responsible for checking that your data is fully and correctly transferred. Further file organisation or troubleshooting is chargeable at our standard hourly rate.


Do I need to be present during the setup?

Yes. We’ll need you available during the appointment to provide access details for your Microsoft account, email accounts, and any apps you’d like us to reinstall.


Can you “copy everything” from my old computer?

Not quite—there’s no “transfer all” button. We rely on you to let us know what matters most beyond standard folders.

To make sure nothing is missed, please tell us:

  • Which applications you use regularly
  • Where important files are stored (especially if outside the usual folders)
  • Any settings or configurations you’d like preserved

The more specific you are, the better we can tailor the setup to your needs.

Replacing a cracked screen or damaged hinge may look straightforward, but every laptop model is built differently—and the parts aren’t always interchangeable. Before we quote, we carry out a hands‑on inspection to make sure we order the exact part and avoid hidden complications.

Why we insist on an inspection:

Model variations:

Even with the same make and model number, devices assembled in different factories can use different panels, cable layouts or hinge assemblies.

Hidden damage:

A drop that shatters a screen or loosens a hinge can also bend the frame, damage internal clips, or strain the display cable. These issues only become obvious when we open the case.

Precision fitting:

Installing a new screen or hinge involves delicately prying bezels and unclipping plastic housings. If prior stress has weakened those clips, they can break during re‑assembly—so we need to gauge the risk first.

 

How the process works:

Diagnostic Inspection (£49):

We may (in some cases) have to open the laptop, verify the exact part numbers, and check for collateral damage. We will only open the laptop up if we believe that no further damage has occurred from an initial look.

Fixed Quote:

You receive an itemised quote covering verified parts and labour. No surprises later.

Repair & Test:

Once you approve, we fit the new screen or hinges, run a full hardware test, and return your laptop ready for work.

We’ll permanently erase all data from your computer’s hard drive using secure, industry‑standard methods, then responsibly recycle or dispose of your old PC through a licensed facility.
